This GM 496 big-block crate engine (BP4967CT) can handle an aggressive throttle response without buckling easily. It’s thanks in part to the forged steel crankshaft, designed for the utmost durability. The result is a robust bottom end that’s excellent for high-horsepower applications.

- Not designed for EGR use.
- A bronze distributor gear is NOT recommended for use on this engine.
- The cylinder heads feature a .300" raised exhaust port vs OEM casting. Please verify header and exhaust clearance prior to installation.
