BluePrint Engines 600-Horsepower Long Block GM 496 C.I. Big-Block Crate Engine.

Built for muscle cars and restomods alike, this assembly delivers dependable, high-RPM performance! This GM 496 big-block crate engine (BP4967CT) can handle an aggressive throttle response without buckling easily. It’s thanks in part to the forged steel crankshaft, designed for the utmost durability. The result is a robust bottom end that’s excellent for high-horsepower applications.

Features and Benefits:
- High-strength, cast iron, standard-deck engine block with 4.310” bore
- Operates at 600 horsepower and 568 ft.-lbs. torque
- 10.1:1 compression ratio for stronger throttle response and crisp performance
- 4-bolt main offers stronger bottom end for high-HP applications
- 1-piece rear main seal ensures stronger, leak-free security
- Built-in BluePrint Engines Muscle Series cylinder heads made of aluminum
- Forged steel crankshaft with 4.250" stroke and 6.135" rods
- Connecting rods use OEM-type design and 150,000 PSI bolts
- Hypereutectic pistons for better strength and heat resistance
- Rotating assembly has 42.5-oz. external imbalance
- Hydraulic roller cam. for lower maintenance and better strength than flat tappet cam.
- Ignition timing: 10-16 degrees initial, 32-34 degrees total at 3500 RPM
- Includes mechanical fuel pump provision
- Backed by BluePrint Engines' 30-month/50,000-mile warranty

Additional Notes:
- Not designed for EGR use.
- A bronze distributor gear is NOT recommended for use on this engine.
- The cylinder heads feature a .300" raised exhaust port vs OEM casting. Please verify header and exhaust clearance prior to installation.
