Sound Deadening & Insulation

Road noise, exhaust drone, and heat coming up through the floor are common realities in classic Chevy Camaros, Chevelles, and El Caminos. Many left the factory with minimal insulation, and whatever was installed has usually dried out, fallen apart, or absorbed moisture over time. Once the interior is stripped for restoration, it’s not unusual to find bare metal where padding used to be.

Installing modern sound deadening and insulation helps control cabin noise and reduce heat transfer from the drivetrain and exhaust. It also creates a more stable foundation for interior components, especially once new carpet and refreshed seats are installed. Addressing sound deadening and insulation while the interior is apart makes it easier to improve comfort without having to revisit the job later.
