The Chevrolet Performance 502 C.I. base crate engine (19433160) provides a strong big-block foundation for builders who want proven performance with the flexibility to choose their own induction and ignition components. It's rated at 508 horsepower and 580 lb.-ft. of torque when equipped with an aluminum intake and 870-cfm carburetor. It also delivers broad torque that exceeds 500 lb.-ft. from roughly 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. A cast-iron 4-bolt main block paired with a forged steel crankshaft, forged rods, and forged pistons creates a durable bottom end built to handle sustained street or strip use. High-flow aluminum oval-port cylinder heads and a hydraulic roller camshaft support strong airflow and dependable valvetrain operation.
