Installation can typically be completed in less than one hour by replacing the original Sniper throttle body, connecting the included adapter harness, and following the guided setup wizard. The wizard automatically generates a self-learning base tune without requiring a laptop or prior tuning experience. Once installed, the Sniper 2 system continuously self-tunes to improve idle quality, cold starts, throttle response, drivability, and fuel efficiency. The included compact 3.5" handheld interface allows setup, basic tuning, and real-time monitoring directly from the controller while maintaining a smaller footprint than the larger 5" display. A fuel pressure regulator is also included to help maintain proper fuel system control during the upgrade. Additional Sniper 2 improvements include redesigned throttle shaft and plate geometry for smoother throttle response, improved RF interference resistance for reliable operation, enhanced CAN bus communication, hidden harness routing for a cleaner engine bay appearance, and a contactless magnetic TPS sensor for accurate throttle position readings. Existing coolant temperature and wideband oxygen sensors are reused to simplify installation, while compatibility with the complete Sniper EFI ecosystem allows future upgrades with ignition components, displays, and fuel system accessories. A polished finish throttle body completes the package with a clean, high-performance appearance.
