Hurst V-Matic 3 Ratchet Shifter 3838530 for 1964-1972 Chevy Chevelles and El Caminos and 1967-1973 Camaros with 3 or 4 Speed Transmissions.
This Hurst V-Matic 3 ratchet shifter fits vehicles with 3- or 4-speed automatic transmissions (AS04). It delivers controlled, sequential gear changes. It features a ratcheting mechanism. This allows only one gear change at a time. This prevents missed shifts during aggressive driving conditions.
The shifter features a brushed aluminum T-handle, and a back-lit gear position indicator. It also has a park and reverse lockout trigger system. This meets NHRA and IHRA safety requirements. A front-exit shift cable supports clean routing. The included base, boot, brackets, levers, and cable provide a complete shifter assembly.
